Marc Pearson is one half of Dub Rock Nation, a UK based studio and live act that specialise in reinventing classic rock and pop songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s, with a hard edge, to suit modern club audiences. DRN have had regular air play on stations such as Gaydio and The Truth Network in the USA to audiences of 4 million people.
Marc has been a touring professional singer and guitarist since 1979 and has worked with an incredible array of artists including Johnny Lime (SL2), Adam Ant, The Glitter Band, The Manic Street Preachers, Jona Lewie, Angie Bowie, Owen Palmer (DJ Hattrixx) and many more.
Marc was a soul and disco DJ back in the 70s and 80s but has, in recent years, focused on performing and touring across Europe in several name bands.
In 2009 Marc teamed up with second cousin Martin Pearson (DJ Rise), one of the UK’s top Hardcore DJs, and DUB ROCK NATION was born. Their debut track Angel Face was taken to Aiya Napa and was picked up by Resident DJ Mani Liqweed (“This is the tune you will all be dancing to next summer”).
Marc’s show is two hours of club bangers and floor fillers.
DRN are in the process of completing their debut album DRN ONE and preparing for imminent release.
Marc performs live with Dub Rock Nation and DJs with DJ Rise as Dub Rock Nation. Marc also DJs live as part of the StomparamaFM team.
